Overview:

Artificial Intelligence and Copyright Law are both inter-related and in direct conflict.  Copyright law has already made changes to address AI created works, and it will continue to develop specific rules to handle the new technology as it evolves.  In addition to strategic changes to the relevant regulations, direct conflicts between Copyright holders and AI developers are being fought in multiple court battles.  Eventually there is likely to be a fundamental overhaul of the relevant law to address both existing rights-holders and the needs of developing technology.  This program will discuss the foundations of the conflict between Copyright and AI, the current status of the law, the likely developments and best practices for involved parties.
